It's been somewhat uneventful lately as far as conversations go but there was an interesting lady that came in today. She looked like a weathered jumble of a Native American, gypsy, Spanish woman with a pinch of Texas flare, dressed primarily in black, which didn't seem to express her demeanor at all. Jarvis (The artist I work for) had commented about having a great conversation with her earlier while I was at a meeting, and unfortunately I just missed it. She had come in later on again with a camera and took pictures as she walked about the room.
"Oh, hello. Who's that?" She said to no one in particular.
"What's that?" I answered.
"Is there a pussycat in here? I just heard a pussycat." She emphasized the "oo" in pussycat.
"No, I think it was the sound from the buses across the street."
"Oh, it sounded like a pussycat."
And then she went about the room taking pictures. I don't really know too much about automobiles and buses, but the best I can describe is they give out a sighing toot when they stop, I can only guess this is caused by the brakes and could be said to be the onomatopoeia of a cats meow.
It happened a second time and she exclaimed, "There it is again." I had to explain to her what it was...
I think I need a better distraction...
